Wargrave Rocks! our second music festival raising funds for
Camp Mohawk, was held on September 15th and was an even greater success than last year. The warm September sunshine brought out the crowds and they
enjoyed some great music, excellent food, drinks and many other stalls and
activities.
The feedback was very positive, with many commenting on the
relaxed and family friendly atmosphere.
A massive thank you to all the bands and performers, who gave their time for free. Also a big thank you to the following people who helped make it happen (apologies if we have forgotten anybody):
Caroline and the team from The Bird In Hand, Knowl Hill, for the hog-roast and barbecue; Simon and the team from The White Hart, Wargrave, for the bar; The team at The Piggott School; Sam the sound man; Bob, the compère; Chris of Drumwright; Shelley and Nicky for manning the ticket desk and providing the bouncy castle; Addington School; Emily at Haa Hoos ceramics; Tim at Coffee2U; Jaime for face painting; Kim for glitter tattoos; Ian the magician; Beth for the cup cakes and crèche; John for the poster design; VGL Printing; The Head Partnership; St. Johns Ambulance; Thames Valley Air Ambulance; The staff and crew from Mohawk.
