Camp Mohawk is a multi-functional day centre for special needs children, set in 5 acres of beautiful countryside, just outside Wargrave, Berkshire. Throughout the year the centre provides a range of activities, facilities and natural space to encourage children with a variety of special needs to play, socialise and learn in a secure and caring environment.
Camp Mohawk operates a membership scheme, with memberships available for both families and groups. Please see the 'Membership' page for more information.
Building work to create a corridor linking the dining room to the main building, incorporating new toilets and a second disabled bathroom, has been ongoing for the past 3 months, but will now be largely put on hold until after the summer. Unforseen repairs to the structure of the building have resulted in this phase of the work taking longer than expected, but thanks to the generosity of certain companies and individuals the project is now ready to move forward once more. Huge thanks to our team of volunteers who continue to dedicate hours of their time to this project, and to Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, and Wokingham District Councils, for their financial support.
Timetables of activities for the coming months are now on the Calendar page. Family days are, as usual, open to exisiting and new members. Any groups wishing to book a visit please contact Kate Kent.
Our latest Outward Bound days for children and young people aged 8 - 25 years with Aspergers Syndrome or high functioning Autism took place in October Half Term. Please see the Calendar page for future dates, and contact Luke Jansen for more information.
If you are interested in using the Camp during term time, or at other times of the year, please contact us for a chat about your requirements.
