Date for the diary: 1st and 2nd November

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our annual fireworks nights at the beginning of November. These will take place over two days:

The 1st November is open to registered families only however we are sorry to say that we are already fully booked. The event starts off with a normal family session from 12pm, with a bonfire to be lit mid-afternoon, and to finish the day a specially designed 'quiet' fireworks display that is perfect for those with moderate noise sensitivities. No fireworks are completely silent but those used in this display have no loud bangs, squeals or whistles. There will also be no large crowds, and the display can be watched from your car.

The 2nd November is open to the public as well as registered users of Camp Mohawk. ADVANCE TICKETS ONLY IF YOU ARE COMING BY CAR - FREE PARKING TICKET MUST BE SELECTED. There will be allocated parking and we kindly ask that visitors coming by car park strictly where directed - please do not park anywhere on the roads approaching the centre. BBQ type food will be served between 6.30pm - 7.30pm with a bonfire throughout. The main fireworks display will start at around 8pm. For more information and to purchase tickets please click here.

After 8 weeks of wonderful summer holidays we are now back to our term time timetable. We are remaining open for the weekend of the 26th - 27th of September to make best use of the pool before it shuts at the end of the month so be sure to come along for that family drop in weekend.

The summer at Camp Mohawk has been absolutely fantastic and, whilst the weather has provided us with a 'traditional English summer' the pool and our other facilities have provided all of our families and groups with a lot of much needed entertainment and respite over the summer period.

Please check our online calendar for the various days on which we are holding events or are otherwise open over the coming months. October half-term sounds a long way off but it is only just around the corner! We'll look forward to seeing you all then, if not before.

Despite the weather we are now well into the swing of the summer holidays which are always the busiest times in the Camp Mohawk calendar. We have had a wonderful few weeks to kick the summer off and everyone really appears to be getting into the swing of things. Camp Mohawk's place in the summer holidays ensures the families always have somewhere to visit whatever the weather, budget or number of people. All are welcome!

We were also open for a number of week days and weekends between May half term and the summer holidays where lots of families popped up to visit.

One big news item to mention is that at the beginning of the summer holidays we opened the new toilet block. It has been a monumental effort on behalf of Matt and in particular our long standing site volunteer Phil who has worked tirelessly to get the block up and ready for this year.

As expected the pool is, full, warm and open to our groups and families every day this summer. We have a few new pool toys to play with that will keep everyone entertained.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you over the holidays!

Easter at Camp Mohawk was a wonderful event which lasted three weeks. We were able to hold our annual Easter Egg hunt and courtesy of the Reading Rotary Clubs and Thames Vale Vultures we were able to give away 200 easter eggs!

The last few weeks preceeding Easter have been busy at Camp with a lot of work around the site on the build up to half-term. We will be open from the 23rd - 31st May.

On top of all of our work that we are doing up here, Camp Mohawk itself has been growing and becoming more and more green, dotted with lilac bluebells and a flury of animals in the bushes. It's wonderful to see it starting to look lush and verdant again after the short snap of winter is drawing to an end.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you over May half-term.

This year's February half term at Camp Mohawk was considered by all to be our best ever. Despite some lashing rain and chilly days the true spirit of Camp Mohawk kept all of our families very happy.

Throughout the week we held a number of family days, group days and our own outward bound days which were all extremely well attended.

We are already finalising plans for the upcoming Easter holidays for which we open on the 4th of April.

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend-long Christmas party here at Camp Mohawk. Over the course of the 13th - 14th December our families came and relaxed at our festively decorated Camp, and ate and drank a huge amount of mince pies, mulled wine and even got a chance to meet Santa himself in his grotto.

The new year is well and truly underway and we are already planning ahead to February 2015 half-term, details of which will be released in the coming weeks.

A very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of our families and groups. We look forward to seeing you all very soon.
