An action-packed October Half Term!

What a wonderful holiday Half Term was this year. A fantastic range of days including Outward Bound, Family Days, Shared Use and our annual fireworks events has seen almost 750 visitors through the gates in 10 days. An amazing array of creatures made of cardboard, drawings and paintings have been created; several palatial dens have been constructed. Huge thanks to our wonderful team of staff, activity providers and supporters. Special thanks to Courtiers, Wokingham Borough Council, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, the Baily Thomas Charitable Fund and Cassie Miller James (CMJ) for their generous support.

Autumn is here!

After a glorious, busy summer during which Mohawk played host to over 3500 visitors, the trees are turning orange, nights are drawing in and we've had to switch the heating on. Autumn seems to have well and truly arrived. This means that the pool is now closed for the winter (Boo!) but it also means that a season of misty mornings, bonfires, pumpkins and wrapping up warm is not far away.

There is plenty to look forward to at Mohawk over the next couple of months; Half Term is rapidly approaching, bringing with it our annual Fireworks events. Following that there will be the Friends Of Camp Mohawk Comedy Night in November, and our Family Christmas Fayre in December. There will also be a host of festive events taking place locally some of which will be generously supporting Mohawk and other local charities.

Details of all the above events will be posted on our calendar page as they approach, and in the meantime, we wish you all a very Happy Autumn!

3 Triathlons in 2 Weeks to raise money for Mohawk

Jane Hatch, a branch director at HSBC Reading, has completed a fantastic challenge of 3 triathlons in 2 weeks. With support from the HSBC Employee £ for £ scheme, Jane has raised a wonderful £1160 for Mohawk. A huge 'Thank You!' to Jane, HSBC and all who sponsored her.

Summer is nearly here!

Mohawk is busy gearing up for our big Summer Holiday project - Count Me In! With generous funding from BBC Children In Need, the Peter Harrison Foundation and Slough Borough Council, we are able to open to a variety of groups and families 7 days per week for the duration of the holiday. More importantly, the pool will be open so don't forget to bring your swimming costumes. For more details, have a look at the Calendar.

Golf in aid of Mohawk

On Friday 27th June, The Henley Business Partnership and The Friends of Mohawk organised a Charity Golf Day at the Hennerton Golf Club, to raise funds for Mohawk. We had a good turn-out of supporters, who enjoyed the team competition followed by a presentation dinner and prizes.

Wargrave Rocked Again!

Wargrave Rocks!

Our charity music festival to raise funds for Mohawk took place on Saturday 21st June. We had stunning weather and some great band performances. A BIG THANK YOU to all who gave up their time to make it a success.
